Linda Mallut Linda Mallut of My Bunny and Me has a passion for things that multiply. She lives for fundraising, loves connecting people to people and surrounds herself with those who live their lives to the fullest! Hands down, she is a giver! Her EAR-resistible bunnies’ mission statement reflects that … her goal is to give back. That’s why she insists on donating a minimum of 10% percent all mybunnyandme.com sales to organizations that provide assistance to others. Truly, hers are the bunnies that keep on giving!
One of her dearest friend’s daughter Becky was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the young age of 20. That was six years ago … and thanks to the LLS and the City of Hope she’s still alive and cancer free today! Not that the journey has been easy. Linda experienced first hand what her friend’s family went through. She saw the physical and financial challenges of having cancer in America – and watched as Becky sat through numerous bouts of chemo, radiation and piggy-backed bone marrow transplants, which worked until 10 months later when Becky’s cancer returned. Traditional avenues for treatment exhausted, Linda was elated when the City of Hope found a test study for Becky to be part of. This study, which was developed directly from research done by the LLS, saved Becky and has allowed her to live a full and happy life. It is because of LLS research doctors that countless others like Becky are alive today! This is the reason Linda does what she does with such zeal. To help fund the hundreds of doctors who are searching for a cure! One bunny at a time, she does her part. Last year she and her team raised about $15,000.00 for the LLS and City of Hope from bunny sales and fundraising activities. In fact, her team has generated so much money that she was recently nominated to the LLS ‘Light the Night’ walk executive committee. This year her team ‘mybunnyand me.com’ is headed toward a goal of at least another $15,000.00 (this in addition to funds generated from bunny sales!) Her enthusiasm is catching. Many of her friends have been inspired to create their own teams! Now that’s multiplication! Linda Mallut of mybunnyandme.com is proving that one person following her passion CAN make a HUGE difference! | ||||||||
